UAE exhibition calendar to the end of 2026: the weeks that move rents

Between now and the end of December the three venues that host almost every UAE exhibition are running 52 events between them. Most of them will not affect your rent. A handful will decide what you can charge for a night in November and December, and one of them has quietly moved across the city in a way that changes which communities benefit.

This page is a working reference. It is generated from the three venue calendars and rebuilt when dates move, so the tables and the argument stay in step.

What the calendar is actually telling you

An exhibition calendar is a demand forecast that nobody markets as one. Hotel operators price against it a year out. Short-term rental owners mostly do not, which is why the same apartment can sit at a flat nightly rate through a week when every hotel within four kilometres is sold out.

Strip out the consumer shows, the ones that pull residents through the door for a Saturday rather than filling a room for four nights, and 42 trade events remain. They do not spread evenly.

The three weeks that decide the quarter

Three weeks carry an anchor event, meaning something large enough to absorb hotel stock across a whole emirate rather than one district.

The week of 2 November is the tightest of the year, and it is tight in both emirates at once. ADIPEC runs 2 to 5 November in Abu Dhabi, and the organiser reports more than 239,000 attendees with 16,500 conference delegates. In the same week Gulfood Manufacturing, GulfHost, ISM Middle East and Private Label Middle East all run 3 to 5 November at the Trade Centre. Abu Dhabi fills, Dubai fills, and the overflow that normally moves between the two emirates has nowhere to go. If you hold short-term rental stock and you only reprice once this year, reprice this week.

The week of 7 December is GITEX. The week of 14 September is Arabian Travel Market, which is unusual timing for that show and worth confirming closer to the date.

The venue matters more than the event

This is the part most people get wrong. What determines which communities absorb the guests is not what the exhibition is about, it is which hall it is in.

An event at the Trade Centre pushes demand into Zabeel, Business Bay, DIFC, Downtown and the Sheikh Zayed Road corridor, with the budget spillover landing in Al Karama and Al Satwa. An event at Expo City pushes it somewhere else entirely: Dubai South, Dubai Investment Park, Jumeirah Village, Discovery Gardens and the stops along the 2020 metro line. Abu Dhabi events barely touch Dubai at all, beyond a thin commuter flow from Marina and JBR.

GITEX has moved, and this is the first year it pays somewhere new

For years GITEX week meant the Trade Centre district. In 2026 it splits. The GITEX Summit sits at the Trade Centre on 7 December, then the exhibition itself runs 8 to 11 December at Expo City Dubai, described by the organiser as the first ever edition at that venue. The show has also moved out of its traditional October slot.

For anyone holding short-term rental stock in Dubai South or along the southern metro line, this is the first December that the largest technology event in the region lands on your doorstep instead of forty minutes away. For anyone holding in Business Bay on the assumption that GITEX week is automatically a premium week, it is the first year that assumption is wrong.

The property events are the least important ones here

This will sound strange on a property site, so let me be direct about it. The exhibitions that are specifically about real estate are the smallest items on this calendar.

There are two, plus a construction week. The International Property Show runs 7 to 9 September at the Trade Centre and AIM Congress runs alongside it. Rise Global Real Estate Investment Summit and Expo runs 13 to 14 October, and it is a two day event. Neither moves the rental market. Both are places to meet developers and brokers, which is a real reason to attend and a poor reason to expect a pricing window.

The construction week is different in scale. Big 5 Global runs 23 to 26 November at the Trade Centre with GeoWorld, LiveableCitiesX, Future FM and HVACR World co-located, nine shows in total under the organiser's portfolio. The audience is contractors, suppliers and facilities managers, and they behave differently as guests: longer stays, more price sensitivity, a preference for serviced apartments over five star rooms. That makes Big 5 week a mid-market week, useful if your stock is in Barsha Heights, TECOM or the Al Quoz fringe, less so if it is a Downtown one bedroom.

Cityscape has left the country

The region's flagship property exhibition is no longer a UAE event. Cityscape Global 2026 runs 16 to 19 November at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre in Saudi Arabia.

That is worth sitting with rather than skipping past. For a decade Cityscape in Dubai was the fixed point in the regional property year, the week when launches were timed and international buyers flew in. It is now a Riyadh week. Nothing on the UAE calendar for the rest of 2026 replaces it, and the two property events that remain here are an order of magnitude smaller. Read that as a signal about where the region's development capital is competing for attention, not as a verdict on Dubai's own market, which is measured by transactions rather than by exhibitions.

Using this if you own short-term rental stock

A calendar like this is easy to over-read. Eight or nine weeks of the year carry real exhibition demand. The rest of your yield comes from leisure seasonality, and no exhibition schedule will rescue a badly located unit.

What it is genuinely good for:

• Setting minimum nightly rates for the anchor weeks rather than letting a channel manager average them into an ordinary month.
• Deciding when not to block your own calendar for maintenance or personal use.
• Understanding why a building near a venue commands a premium that a comparable building four kilometres away does not.
• Sanity checking a broker who tells you a Dubai South unit will earn Business Bay nightly rates. From 8 December this year, for four days, that is closer to true than it has ever been. For the rest of the year it is not.

Sources, and how current this is

Every date here comes from the venue that is hosting the event, checked on 29 August 2026. The Trade Centre, Expo City's exhibition centre and ADNEC each publish their own calendar and there is no combined feed, so this is compiled from all three.

Two things carry lower confidence and are flagged rather than smoothed over. ADIPEC and GITEX are both taken from the organisers' own sites, because neither appeared on the venue calendar when this was compiled. ADNEC publishes only a short list of upcoming events rather than a full season, so Abu Dhabi coverage here is thinner than Dubai's and may be incomplete.

Exhibition dates move. Treat anything more than a few weeks out as provisional and confirm on the organiser's site before you book flights or reprice a calendar around it.
